ZAMBOANGA CITY, Nov 9 (PIA) - Zamboanguenos will have a chance to study for free in the United States of America (USA) through a scholarship program offered by Fulbright Philippines.
Also known as the Philippine-American Educational Foundation, Fulbright Philippines recently launched their 2020 U.S. Scholarship Roadshow Mindanao Leg in Davao City last October. The roadshow will reach Zamboanga City on November 23 at the Grand Astoria Hotel from 8am to 11:30am.
The goal of the roadshow is to promote the different Fulbright Programs available to Filipinos as the organization visits various provinces and municipalities across the country to conduct free information sessions.
Fulbright Philippines is a bi-national commission which administers the Fulbright Student Exchange Program which awards scholarship grants for Filipinos to the USA. Currently, they have seven existing programs to give more opportunities to Filipinos that includes Graduate Student Programs, Advance Research and University Lecturing, ASEAN Visiting Scholar Program and other Programs offered for Teachers.
Everyone is invited to attend the orientation roadshow for free especially those who are interested to look for educational opportunities in the USA and those who are committed to serve the Philippines upon completion of their Fulbright grant. Pre-registration is required for the attendee as the registration form will be posted on their website. The details for the upcoming roadshow, eligibility requirements, and application procedure for all of their scholarship programs are available at fulbright.org.ph.
The Fulbright Program aims to strengthen the relationship and increase mutual understanding between the people of the USA and the Philippines by awarding study, lecturing, research grants, and fellowship. (EDT/MLE/PIA9-Zamboanga City)
